Thank you so much for visiting Memorable Affair! I have such a passion for creating special events for my clients. I didn’t start off pursuing a career as an Event Specialist. Far from it! For the first part of my life I was in the corporate world as a Regional Vice President, overseeing a large portfolio for a publicly traded Real Estate Investment Trust, the farthest thing from event planning. I remarried and moved to Tucson, where my husband lives. I had so much fun planning our wedding (and not even knowing I had a knack for it!) the seed was planted.
About two years after moving to Tucson I was invited to a meeting for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Tucson. The planning committee and chairs were in need of volunteers to help with The Party, an annual fundraiser, where they have over 3000 guests! They were looking for someone to help with the planning, décor and logistics of the silent auction (did I mention over 900 items in their silent auction). I raised my hand and said, “Well, I like throwing parties, sounds like fun!” And it was. Amazing people, great cause, a ton of work, but most importantly was the reaction of the Committee Chairs when they saw the venue. All they could say was, “Wow!” Needless to say this was the point at when I realized I truly had a passion for working with clients to help them realize THEIR vision. Nothing is more satisfying to me than when I hear, “This is better than I expected.”
